Carols by Candlelight in Centurion

The Soweto Gospel Choir took part in the Carols by Candlelight in Centurion on December 5, 2010 at the SuperSport Park.

Dave le Roux was kind enough to share the below review of the performance with some of the photos he took.

Thanks Dave!

“I had the pleasure of experiencing the Soweto Gospel Choir for the first time live at the Carols by Candlelight in Centurion. As my family and I entered SuperSport Park, we were greeted by the bright colours of the stage lights, and the choir’s outfits. It was such a pleasure to experience the beautiful voices of the choir, as they accompanied some of South Africa’s musicians in many Christmas carols. However, when the choir took over the stage, they took over the crowd and certainly showed that Christmas is a happy and joyous season, where singing and dancing is rejoicing. It made me realise that Africa is the only place to spend Christmas. Well done to the choir, and thank you so much for starting my 2010 Christmas season with such joy.”
